Busker Application

The Busker Application form is used by people wishing to perform at the Palm Cove Markets.

Busking covers many types of street performance including music, dance, oratory, percussion, circle act, juggling, balancing, pavement art, magic, fire show etc.

Palm Cove Markets adopts the guidelines published by Cairns Regional Council in their Best Practice Management Policy for Busking document.

All performers must hold a current Busking Permit issued by Cairns Regional Council.  The Busking Permit application requires some but not all types of busking to submit a risk assessment and proof of public liability insurance as a condition of issue.

Sets are for 50 minutes only with an extra 10 minutes allowed for set-up and pull-down.  Buskers may request additional sets but approval is not guaranteed.

No power is provided by the Manager for busking.

You must be able to demonstrate that you have sufficient material to sustain a 50 minute performance.

Please ensure that you have read and understood the Terms and Conditions (especially clause 10).

Please Note: Where offensive content or noise is reported, the Busker must either correct the issue or cease the performance.
